Sedation Dentistry

Sedation dentistry provides opportunity for patients with fears or anxiety toward dental care to have their dentistry accomplished in a comfortable, painless technique. It also affords individuals who need dental care and are very busy to have their dental treatment accomplished in one or two visits.

You will be given oral medication to take 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. You will be escorted to a comfortable treatment room and placed on a monitor to watch your vital signs.

When your treatment is complete, your friend or relative will drive you home to finish your comfortable, relaxing day.  You will be sleepy for several hours after your appointment.

You will have very little or no recollection of your dental treatment. The fatigue normally associated with extended dental treatment will be minimized due to your comfort and relaxation during your dental appointment.

During your treatment you will not be unconscious. You will always be conscious; however, you will be relaxed to a mental state where dentistry is very comfortable and painless.
